What is it?
Passion Fruit is native to South America and is currently cultivated in most tropical and subtropical regions including Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, and Vietnam. Passion Fruits grow on vines and the skin of the fruit can range in color from dark purple to light yellow or orange. The inside of the fruit is composed of juice and pulp-filled pockets that contain hundreds of small black seeds. Each seed is individually surrounded by deep-orange-like colored sacs that contain the juice. The juice is extracted from the pulp.
